Choosing a Home Builder in Florida
Back in the heyday of the Southwest Florida building boom, all a builder had to do was throw up a shingle, set up a model and the buyers came. As we all know, they came in droves, from the Northeast and Midwest, from Florida’s East Coast, from Europe and Latin America. Getting buyers in the door was never a problem, nor did it take much effort to get those buyers to sign on the dotted line.
The recession changed all that, and I like to think that in the long run, the changes will benefit all of us. Now, it takes hard work to do what was once effortless. What have we learned over the past three years? First, quality counts. When you build something to last, it shows. And, in today’s housing market, it has to show.
Experience counts. For a time, there was a builder on every corner (and half a dozen in between). Today, the landscape has changed. There are still builders out there, but most of them have been in this Southwest Florida community for many years. Their reputations have contributed to their survival. Management counts. Reputation alone won’t keep anyone in business. Knowing how to manage your assets – personnel as well as financial – is another key to longterm success. Customer Service counts. When you take care of your customers, they take care of you. At Paul Homes we believe that our service before, during and after the sale is almost as important as the quality we build into our homes. We are here to make your home as perfect as possible.
From our perspective, none of this is new or news – this is the way we have always conducted our business, and the way Gary and I intend to continue conducting this business for many years into the future.
