Cape Coral home builder answers questions you should ask

30 Mar Cape Coral home builder answers questions you should ask

Every home builder should be prepared to answer questions about their time in business, their credentials, and their building process. In this post Cape Coral Builder Paul Homes begins to answer some of those critical questions.

How long have you been in business? Approximately how many homes have you built?Paul Homes has been building homes in Southwest Florida for more than 30 years. Over that time, we have built hundreds of homes for discriminating home buyers in Lee, Collier and charlotte counties.

What licensure do you hold? Are you licensed and insured in Florida? How many people on your team are licensed? Paul Homes has three Florida Certified Contractors on staff. Bob Knight, along with superintendents Rich Verblaau and Bob Masquelier all hold Florida building licenses.

Are you familiar with local and state building codes? The team of building professionals at Paul Homes knows the local building codes inside and out. Since we only build in Southwest Florida, our team has worked with state and local building codes for many years. When codes change, we’re on top of the changes and able to work new regulations into our processes.

Are you a member of any professional organizations? Do you attend professional meetings and continuing education courses? Paul Homes is a member of the Cape Coral Building Industry Association, the Lee Building Industry Association, the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. Each of the three state certified building contractors on staff takes required continuing education courses. We also make it a practice to attend both the National and Florida Home Builders Association meetings.

Do you offer a home warranty? All Paul Homes come with a home warranty. Details of this warranty can be obtained by speaking with a Paul Homes Sales Associate.

How do you communicate with customers? Can I call or email the person in charge of my project? What is the time frame for returning calls or emails? How often should I expect to receive updates on the progress of my home? The construction of each Paul Home is overseen by a single project superintendent. This person is responsible for everything construction related. Your superintendent will provide you with his contact information so that you can get ahold of him quickly during the construction project. Additionally, we use the BuilderTrend program throughout the building of your home. This program is designed to facilitate communication. Photos are posted here and homeowners can view the building schedule on this site. Our team has committed to responding to all communication from customers within 24 hours (often sooner). Our superintendents will work with you to communicate as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
